Rice protein concentrate is a valuable GMO-free rice protein concentrate (rice gluten), originating as a co- product from production of rice starch. The technical manufacturing process is comparable to the production of quality wheat gluten. Among all cereals rice is well-known as an ingredient, free of anti-nutritional factors (ANF) Also in human nutrition rice is known as a very palatable, easy digestible and allergen-free food. Therefore, rice and rice protein are also used in small children diets (e.g. hypo-allergenic food).
Rice protein concentrate is characterized by a high content of highly digestible protein, a high purity and by a low content of crude fibre and crude ash.
Various trials are proving the positive impact of rice protein concentrate on growth performance respectively on feed in piglets. In this respect the very high true illeal digestibility of each amino acid from rice protein concentrate, which has been determined in piglet trials, is one important factor.
Over all rice protein concentrate is a very interesting source of protein for all young animal diets, pet food and aquaculture. Finally rice protein concentrate is representing an interesting alternative tot soy products.
